Dr. Shnook is a parody program inspired by ELIZA. The difference between the two is that ELIZA uses an early form of artificial intelligence to provide meaningful responses to the user, whereas Dr. Shnook simply responds in nonsense all the time. It's a simple program meant to provide cheap amusement, nothing more.
Dr. Shnook was originally written in Microsoft QBasic (or was it GW-BASIC?). The source code got lost when the hard drive on my parents' 386 PC crashed. However, I did save a backup copy (the EXE only) on a floppy disk, and that is the version that I've posted here. You will likely need to install DOSBox to use it.
